Rechargeable batteries are rechargeable and used many times. Nowadays most people prefer to use it because it reduces waste and saves money. Non-disposable battery was first used in automobiles. Today it is used in laptops, cell phones, video cameras, MP3 players and power tools.

Rechargeable batteries are available in a variety of forms that include cylindrical lithium-ion power unit, nickel-metal hydride cells, lithium-ion, and lithium-ion polymer battery cells. Nickel-cadmium batteries have less memory so that power is gradually being replaced by cell-cell nickel-metal hydride batteries in the long term.

Cost-effective: Although non-disposable batteries are more expensive than disposable, it lasted for a longer period because it can be recharged many times. It is, therefore considered to be cost-effective and economical.

Environmentally friendly: It is also considered environmentally friendly because it reduces overall waste. Disposable cell discarded after use which is likely to cause environmental pollution. Non-disposable batteries can be recharged and used countless times.

Varieties: In the earlier days, rechargeable batteries manufactured in limited size, there is currently a large variety of non-disposable batteries produced by several leading companies around the world. It can be used in various types of electronic devices including laptops, mobile phones, lights, flashlights, and calculators. Today most of the electronic devices utilize it because it is durable and economical.
